With the release of an Israeli soldier, Gilad Shalit, in exchange for 1,000 Palestinian prisoners, the five year long international hostage headlines comes to an end today. Shalit was in Hamas captivity and his release overstuffed Twitter and made headlines the world over. Twitter has been continuously seeing higher traffic since release of iPhone 4S, followed by death of Apple co-founder and ex CEO Steve Jobs.
