It came as a no surprise when Andy Murray dismissed Ferrer 2-0 to lift the Shanghai Masters trophy today. Murray won 7-5 and 6-4, which shows a resistant Ferrer, who did not throw in the towel at any moment. Being the Shanghai Master, it is Murray's third ATP title after the Bangkok and Japan open.
Today's win also ensures his 15th successive win. Murray's successful defence of his Shanghai Masters crown means that Federer, absent from Shanghai, will slip to number four -- his lowest ranking in more than eight years.
