Thailand's flood threaten global supply chain

The recent deadly floods in Thailand, while on one hand have destroyed lifer and property beyond any dimension, these have now started to threaten the world supply chain of many exportable products and goods. Already Toyota, Ford, Honda and Isuzu have all suspended car assembly in Thailand, a regional automotive hub – a move expected to hit output of thousands of vehicles. Although, most of the country's auto industries are located on is eastern coast, outside the flood zone, still a a large number of industrial parks north of Bangkok have been inundated. This disruption will have far reaching effects on exports and may surge prices of products of the inundated industries.
