Due to extraordinary global warming, the roof of the world is melting. The naked reality has been confirmed by David Breashears who besides his own photography of the area between 2007-10, has retraced photos of earlier photographers like Major E O Wheeler, George Mallory and Vittorio Sella - to find out that over the past 80 years, we have lost much snow from glaciers. The results are astoundingly awesome and worrisome.
These photos have gone on display at the Royal Geographical Society in central London and will be open to public for free til 11 November 2011.
