already thousands of flights have been cancelled ahead of a possible three feet of snow accompanied with 65 mph winds. The blizzard has kept most of the New Yorkers behind closed doors.
Elsewhere, Boston is expected to get 18 to 24 inches of snow, with up to 2 feet or more west of the city, and Philadelphia could see up to a foot.
