Iran discovers uranium reserves - key ingredient of nuclear power plants and bombs

Iran's nuclear head has announced that Iran has discovered  additional uranium reserves, a rare element that is a key ingredient of nuclear power plants and bombs.

The discovery of could make it harder for the West to monitor Iran's controversial nuclear programme.

It may added that it was previously thought that Iran would have to import uranium from other countries in order to power its nuclear plants, which would have made it easier for the West to monitor the develop of the controversial project.
