England mauled by Pakistan in first ODI

Babar congratulating Hafeez on his century

It was a bad  day for England playing its first ODI against Pakistan at Abu Dhabi last night.

Playing first England scored 216 in 49.4 overs with the help of Morgan's 76. England suffered three quick losses at the start of the play for just 14 runs.

Coming to bat, Pakistan were reduced to 41-3 by Reece Topley's three wickets. But its was Pakistan's Hafeez who played marvelously and scored unbeaten 102 with 10 fours and one six in his 130-ball innings.  He shared stands of 70 with Malik and an unbroken 106 with Azam, who brought up his half-century with a straight six off Woakes.

Pakistan won by six wickets in 43.4 overs.
